In 2011, our dedicated volunteers provided the following services
to Monroe County Seniors:
1,850 total hours
of volunteer services that included:
1,025 hours of transportation to medical & dental appointments, senior centers, worship services, shopping, and errands.
(Our wonderful volunteers drove over 12,775 miles in 2011 using their own vehicles and gas to help their neighbors remain independent)
504 hours of relief to family caregivers, friendly visits, and telephone
calls.
200 volunteer hours to training, office assistance, fundraising, and public
relations.
120 hours of home repair, chores, yard work and light housekeeping.
The value of these services to Monroe County in 2011 was: $47,000
Since 2001 we’ve provided
